SEI Journal

Structural Engineering International (SEI) publishes technical reports and scientific papers in the field of structural engineering, aiming to bridge the gap between professional practice and academic research. The journal covers both practical and scientific aspects of the discipline.

It features articles on recent structures and developments in both practice and research. Contributions address all types of structures, including bridges, buildings, and offshore structures, constructed from a wide range of materials such as concrete, steel, composites, timber, fibre-reinforced polymers, and glass. In addition, SEI covers issues related to the sustainability of structures and the full spectrum of structural engineering practice, from design and construction to maintenance, monitoring, and ultimately reuse or demolition.

All technical articles are reviewed by the IABSE SEI Editorial Board, in collaboration with more than 250 reviewers and more than 20 Correspondents.

To recognise outstanding contributions, an Outstanding Paper Award is presented annually.

Submission Guidelines:

Please check SEI Author Guidelines for writing the paper and submit your paper here.

Paper can be submitted in ‘Scientific Paper’ or ‘Technical Reports’ category. For any queries please write to: bose@iabse.org

Papers go through peer reviews, which is a highly selective review process and demonstrate a significant contribution to the state of structural engineering knowledge. This supported by the internet based manuscript submission and review system ‘ScholarOne’. To recognise contributions of the highest quality, an Outstanding Paper Award is presented each year. Since 2010 the high standing of the journal is supported by the SEI Advisory Board. All technical articles are reviewed by the IABSE SEI Editorial Board, with collaboration of over 250 Reviewers over 20 Correspondents.
